Your Friendly Neighborhood Web Agency
Lifted Logic is an award-winning team of strategists, designers, developers, photographers/videographers, project managers, and nerds on a mission to change the world, one business at a time.
We’ve worked with hundreds of organizations to create digital experiences that convert website visitors into revenue.
While it certainly doesn’t hurt to find a local digital agency near you, it’s also perfectly okay to work with an agency that’s out of town—as long as that digital agency has a solid process for understanding your market, your community, and your target audience. We’re experts in all things Kansas City, but we like to say we’re experts in other places too. Southlake, Texas. Omaha, Nebraska. Santa Monica, California. Cincinnati, Ohio. We have taken the time to get to know these cities and so many more, because it’s where our clients work, live, and market.
Proximity should not be your only goal when looking for a digital agency. Unfortunately, over the last 13 years, we’ve realized just how little accountability and regulation there is in the digital space. We’re basically in the wild, wild west of the internet age, and it’s almost too easy for the closest digital agency (or freelancer) near you to pull a fast one on your business without you even realizing. That’s why you should never write a check without setting expectations.
Many digital agencies in Kansas City use flashy words to make themselves seem like they know what they’re doing. But when you see things like “user journey,” “mobile websites,” or “wireframes” listed as core services, it basically means they’re going to charge you a lot of money to come up with a fancy report full of information you already know about your customers (even if you don’t realize it yet). Or worse, they’re charging you extra for things that should be a given. (Also, inside tip from an actual web designer: wireframes are dead.)
Through our humble beginnings as web designers, Lifted Logic has figured out how to take the guesswork out of your marketing and deliver premier agency services that will actually change the trajectory of your business. Defining your revenue goals, your marketing KPIs per channel, and all of your other hopes and dreams for your business is something we do before we even sign the contract. Because let’s be honest. Who wants to get roped into a relationship neither of you wants to be in? It’s destined for heartbreak and sunken costs for both parties. And worst of all, it turns out an inferior product. So before you go running to the closest digital agency near you, look at their work. Read their Google reviews. Ask for references. And tell them your honest and realistic goals for your project. It will save you time AND money in the long run.
To put it briefly, users seeking the best digital agency in Kansas City despise overwhelming, text-heavy, rambling pages about nothing in particular (okay, mostly web design). You could stop reading now, but what fun would that be? In the humble opinion of our web designers, pages with an excess amount of text, disjointed sentences that repeat phrases like “digital agency in Kansas City,” and “web design in Kansas City” with cluttered design are dull, boring, and have never been appealing. No one reads it, no one wants to read it, and no one will read it, no matter how good you are in your industry. But you knew this. It’s exhausting, like this post that’s about…what, exactly? Was it graphic design services? Or was it web development in Kansas City? No, no. It is definitely about SEO marketing, right? To be frank, we don’t even know anymore. To a web developer, spitting out too many words on a page is extremely counterproductive to the user’s experience. Mainly because, when it’s presented like this, no one will read what you have to say about Kansas City web design, or whatever your services happen to be in the first place.
When a copywriter uses 50 or more words to convey a point about “copywriting for websites in Kansas City”, when it could’ve taken them 5, it’s quite embarrassing. When a web designer’s layout is difficult to navigate, it’s humiliating. Other Kansas City web designers may actually do this when you hire them to take on your website redesign, but we would never put you through that. We respect you too much. It goes against our nature as the best digital agency in Kansas City.
Although, this daunting post is an exception to the many rules our content experts follow.
When Lifted Logic was founded, we had an “ah ha” moment about the best way to create custom websites, but you may have to dig around to find it in this text. Mainly because it’s far too long to read, but also because we’re needlessly rambling on about our digital agency in Kansas City until our fingers get tired of typing (or we run out of things to say).
Anyway, when we first started offering custom websites in Kansas City, we had an idea that would change the way the game of web design was played. An idea that would knock our competitors out of the park. An idea that would alter a user’s online experience. An idea that you most likely won’t get to find out, because we’ve taken way too long (and lamented far too much about web development in Kansas City) to get to the point.
We thought it’d be humorous to demonstrate our point, using (not our best) copywriting, instead of just making the point about digital succinctness, but that may just be something we find funny about everyone else out there attempting web design. We’re sorry to say it but, if it’s too cluttered, users will stop reading your page after the first sentence, because their eyes bug out and their jaws drop when they see how far down the page they have to go. You know the feeling.
No one wants to read a giant, unbroken blurb of text about a digital agency in Kansas City. It’s intimidating, and it’s also just downright awful to look at. When was the last time you read thousands of words of nonsense from a plumber and then hired him to come fix your leaky faucet? Plus, it takes way too much time to read and understand what we’re trying to say about good corporate website design and the mistakes we see every day. To put it blatantly, another common reason for users to hit the back button on pages not built by our web developers is that the page was scattered and hard to look at, or it featured long, run-on sentences that made zero sense and just run around in circles, or it annoyingly repeated a phrase like “marketing services in Kansas City” too many times. Do you see our point about good web development yet? Or are we taking too long to get there? Because we are, but it’s on purpose.
Lifted Logic is the best digital agency in Kansas City.
Nothing can compete with Kansas City barbeque. The book is always better than the movie (except Lord of the Rings). A dog is a man’s best friend. Avocado toast is sorta overrated. Black coffee is the best coffee. Ross shouldn’t have ended up with Rachel. Disney World is more lines than magic. Pineapple totally belongs on pizza. GO CHIEFS! Most importantly we are by far the best choice for web design in Kansas City.
If you’re still reading – we hope you at least agree with us about how amazing your website’s design and SEO should be organized, and have a better understanding of web development. If you still have no idea, don’t worry – we’ve got your back. We stand and applaud everyone who made it this far into this sheer nonsense from a digital agency in Kansas City. You’re a hero, a gentleman & a scholar, truly deserving of an Illustrator™-drawn gold star from one of our graphic designers.
You either are an immensely dedicated individual who finishes everything they start, a masochist, or genuinely interested in whatever we are trying to say, even if we ourselves aren’t quite sure. For that, we think you’re great. Now that you’ve been completely confused and dazzled by our word tricks and jabbering about web design, we’ll leave you with this little fun fact: in the 1,500 words in this fun interactive section of our home page, we could’ve said what we wanted to say in the following four – users prefer concise websites.
Get it? 😂 The first was your website.
Did you know we’re more than a web design agency? We also offer marketing services to those clients who need a little (or a lot of) help with everything from SEO blogging and e-newsletters to video creation and social media.
